We are looking for an Office Support assistant to help us ensure the business runs smoothly and tasks are taken care of. This may include producing reports, managing our booking system and general administrative support such as filing. The role will be working from the central office based at the Gayton pool, with some home working opportunities where applicable. Travel may be required to our Lonsdale pool.

Location:      Derby, Derbyshire
Hours:           part-time for 16 hours a week
Contract:      Permanent
Salary:           £9 per hour

Who are we?

Established in 2006, Lonsdale Swimming and Sports Trading Limited is a trust providing sporting facilities to the Derby community through two swimming pools, Lonsdale and Gayton. The pools are used by schools, local clubs, private hirers and the public. The pools have been successfully run by some of the original local pool users. Now the team is looking for additional support in the administrative side of the business.

The Role

Candidate Profile

At the Trust, the aim is to support the community. We’re looking for someone who is considerate with a ‘can-do’ approach to support our staff and the community with their admin help.

The ideal candidate will also have an office or administrative experience, but this is not essential with the right attitude and ability to learn our systems.

Job description

  • Producing reports on
  • Management of the customer booking system, including booking people onto courses.
  • Answering the phone and emails.
  • Liaising with the community including sending out booking forms.
  • Supporting the Pool Manager with HR administrative tasks.
  • Supporting with Adhoc administrative tasks as required.

Skills and experience

Essential:

  • IT literate with quality written word skill.
  • Sound ability with Excel spreadsheets.
  • Experience using accounting software.
  • Experience producing reports for swimming lesson.
  • Organised, hands-on and proactive to ‘get things done.’
  • Polite and professional with the ability to build rapport with our community and team.

 Desirable:

  • Experience with Sage.
  • Experience with course pro.
  • Experience working as an office or administrative assistant.
